Daniel and Ciera

Wow! Daniel and I have made it through another month together! I never questioned we’d make it through but it’s still so amazing to think about. I’m really excited about next month, though. On the 26th of September it will be two years since we met online. To me, that feels more important than when we decided to be together. Life would be so much different if we never met and I know we’re both so happy we started a life together!

Anyways, let me tell you about this week. It has been really great! We’ve both managed to be pretty busy. On Monday Daniel and I went to dinner at Papa Gino’s, one of the many Italian restaurants on Lygon Street. We both got some pasta and it was delicious! We are planning on going back very soon ! For my friends back in “The Valley”, Fazzari’s is very similar.

Tuesday, I had a Myki assessment. Before that I met up with Daniel so we could have lunch with his cousin. [...]

This week has been great! Daniel has remained busy the whole time and I managed to have a few busy days myself. Thursday was the day Daniel and I had lunch together. I enjoyed it more than I usually do which was very nice.

Friday night we helped Daniel sister, Jacinta, make some cookies for her picnic the next day. That was quite fun for all of us! The picnic the next day was very nice as well. Jacinta set it up as a celebration for being vegetarian a total of 4 years so far. It was mostly her friends, obviously, but I still enjoyed being there. One of her friends happened to be obsessed with America and decided to talk to me about that for awhile . Another one of her friends that was there knew I was from Idaho. That surprised me a lot! Anyways, Daniel and I left early and came home to watch Lilo and Stitch. I was really wanting to color so we stopped somewhere to get me crafty things before heading home.

On Sunday, Daniel and I decided to go to Luna Park. There was a person performing in front of the park so we watched him first. He was juggling fire and doing one of the Great Houdini tricks. We both laughed a lot during the show! [...]

For some reason I’m just really not wanting to blog this week. Yet, I push myself to post one on here to keep people updated. Don’t be surprised if this post is shorter than most…\

Today was mostly a relaxing day for us. We managed to beat Mario Galaxy with Mario and opened up the ‘secret’ character. (SPOILER ALERT: It’s Luigi…). Now we must beat the whole game again while playing as that character and hopefully a new world, or something, will appear. Also, we need one more star in Mario Galaxy 2 so a new level will open. Besides that, we haven’t done much. Daniel has been working on an old computer today and I’ve been trying to stay happy and write some posts. Oh, and I’m hoping to accomplish all the goals I’ve set for today!

We saw Inception yesterday. I think I may give a ‘review’ of the movie on my site. My plan is to keep this blog strictly about us. Jacinta joined as so Daniel and her could spend some sibling time together. I know they’ve both been missing each other so I made sure we all did something together this weekend. We had a fun time while we were out that day. Before the movie, Daniel and I went to MSY (a computer parts store here, it’s awesome!) to get a nice, new keyboard and mouse for me and a hard drive for him. He’s setting up an old computer as a server, I believe, so we can use off peak downloading time, and such. [...]

Well, I’ve made it a month in Australia. I knew I would considering my last visit here was 3 months long ! It’s been really great here. Of course there’s been down days but I wouldn’t change anything about it! During the weeks I’ve been doing things to keep my self busy including looking for jobs and visiting Daniel at work. At least one day during the weekend is spent as a ‘date day’. On those days we usually go out all day and enjoy our time together. I’m so thankful we have the weekends to spend so much time together!

This week I spent most of the time at home. Normally that would make me feel a bit upset but I stayed busy enough to feel like I accomplished something. I managed to finish all the friendship bracelets I was working on. I also wrote some letters and made some necklaces for my brother and sister. On Thursday, Daniel’s mum managed to talk me into going grocery shopping with her. We got ingredients for tacos! They were really good ! Daniel was on a fun go-carting trip that his office does. I wish I could have gone! On Friday, I went into the city to visit my man at work. While together, we set up his part of our joint bank account. Then we went to the post office so I could send everything I worked on. After that, we went and got lunch at KFC. So healthy, right?! [...]

That’s right! In just a few more days I will no longer be in a long distance relationship! I’m heading to Australia to be with Daniel for a year.

The nine months, that are now behind us, have been so difficult for me! Before we met, chatting was always a fun experience. After meeting and spending three months together, I started getting really frustrated and taking things he said the wrong way. I partly blame the distance. I was so unhappy that I couldn’t be there; my overall mood has changed from relaxed and happy, to stressed and discontent. I miss the way I felt before. Although, I have faith that when I’m there my mood will change drastically again.

More has gone on in life, as well. Along with the stress of the distance: I live in this disgusting house (daily stressor); my family has made me feel used, neglected, and just disrespected; and my moms ex-husband, and my brother and sisters father, had an incident that has left him with no movement on his right side and possible one blind eye. Sound like a good nine months to you?! Now, I know I could have things a lot worse… it just feels like bad things have been happening one things after another, after another, for the past three years. [...]

You know when you’re reading something you totally agree with and you get this uplifting feeling? That happened to me when I read the above proverb! The way I interpret it may be different from others but I think it means: “No distance is too far if you’re in love.”

About a month ago I arrived home from a three month trip to Australia. I had traveled over there to meet Daniel, my one and only (as mentioned in my last blog post). We had met online nine months prior when he sent me a friend request on Myspace. We started talking through comments and, just a few days later, we were chatting hours upon hours on Windows Live Messenger! It was, and still is, amazing that I could talk to him the whole day without getting bored or having an awkward pause in the conversation. I have never been able to do that with anyone else! [...]
