Our Gold Coast Vacation/Holiday!

OH MY GOSH GUYS! I’m sorry it’s been so long. I have no legitimate excuses for it but Daniel does. He’s been super busy with Uni and work. I’ve just been busy keeping myself mentally healthy. I guess that is kind of a big deal, huh? Anyways, I’m sure you guys would love to hear about the trip we took to the Gold Coast. Even if it was… 4 months ago! 😉 I got some footage of everything but I don’t know how to video edit and the clips I took aren’t that great just by themselves. We did upload a whole bunch of photos though, which can be found in our photo gallery.

On the airplane.

It was Daniel’s first time out of Victoria and on a plane so he was really excited (and super cute to watch!!). The flight there was alright. It got a lot better when we were getting close to landing. If you looked out the window you could see the ocean and the shore line. We were lucky that no one sat close to us so Daniel and I scooted over one seat to look out. It was beautiful! […]

Week 26 – The real half-way point and CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas!

As you can tell by the title, this week was the actual half-way point. 😉 We were counting months by four weeks but, since a year has 52 weeks, we messed it up a little. 26 weeks = half a year… blahblahblah. You get the point!

On Tuesday of this week, the business Daniel works at (PageUp People) had a Christmas party. His manager insisted that he go and even offered to pay for me to join. We accepted the offer and ended up having a great time! It was held at Richmond Union Bowling Club, a place to play lawn bowls. The party started with drinks and food (mostly BBQ). It later moved out to the lawn where we bowled… simple enough xD. It was great to meet all the people Daniel works with. I know some people were excited to meet me, too.

Nothing else happened during thing week until Friday. I got some bad news that day and Daniel got to get off work early!  I got a text during the day from work. They were informing me and my coworkers that there wouldn’t be any available shifts until AFTER 31 January. The break was originally supposed to be two weeks. […]

Week 17 together!!

We love cuddles!

This week was pretty good! Ciera had six shifts for work this week, which is the most she’s ever had! She was exhausted by the end of the week, and so was I (but then again, I always am). We relaxed a lot during the weekend, which is something we both needed… I always seem to work so hard :P.

On Tuesday, Ciera worked two different shifts. Both were in the CBD, so I got to see her for both lunch and after work! It was great. Seeing her after work means I get to spend even more time with her than usual! :). On Friday, I met Ciera after work, and we both went to Melbourne Central to meet up with a few of my friends from university. It was pretty much a little get-together. We had had one a few weeks ago as well, but Ciera didn’t want to come along to that one. This time, she did, and we all went to have dinner somewhere at Melbourne Central. I ate a delicious chicken parma, and Ciera had some (also delicious) penne with meatballs. My friends had some alcoholic drinks, but since Ciera and I don’t drink alcohol, we decided on some other drinks. Ciera had a strawberry smoothie and I had a Coca Cola. All in all, the night was pretty good :)

Saturday was pretty awesome. We had a rather lazy day, but remembered that Sonic The Hedgehog 4 had been released! We went onto Wiiware on our Wii, paid for and downloaded the game, and tried it out. It’s pretty awesome! Not as good as the older Sonic games though. We ended up just spending the day playing it as well as the older Sonic games, in emulators. Today’s Sunday, which has been a pretty lazy day too. We played some more games, and at the moment, I’m writing this blog post while Ciera plays yet more games xD. We were going to look more into the Partner Visa stuff, but haven’t done that yet. We’ll have to eventually though. It’ll be kinda fun. :)

Until next time (that’s my sign-off line, not Ciera’s!),

Week 8 together!

Kisses!

Wow! Daniel and I have made it through another month together! I never questioned we’d make it through but it’s still so amazing to think about. I’m really excited about next month, though. On the 26th of September it will be two years since we met online. To me, that feels more important than when we decided to be together. Life would be so much different if we never met and I know we’re both so happy we started a life together!

Anyways, let me tell you about this week. It has been really great! We’ve both managed to be pretty busy. On Monday Daniel and I went to dinner at Papa Gino’s, one of the many Italian restaurants on Lygon Street. We both got some pasta and it was delicious! We are planning on going back very soon :)! For my friends back in “The Valley”, Fazzari’s is very similar.

Tuesday, I had a Myki assessment. Before that I met up with Daniel so we could have lunch with his cousin. […]

My life with Ciera so far

This was originally posted to Daniel’s blog on 18th July 2010.

So as you’d already know, Ciera came back to Australia three weeks ago, which is why I haven’t really been on messenger much recently :P. Things have been excellent so far, it’s been really enjoyable. Last week, we made some delicious rainbow cookies. They were pretty much just plain lemon cookies based on a recipe from a $4 book we bought at Go-Lo, WITH A DIFFERENCE! We made them awesome by colouring them all different colours (and even made some multi-colour, which was my idea :D). They were delicious and colourful and made with 100% awesomesauce. Next time we make some, we’ll make them all rainbow I think xD.

Yesterday (Saturday), we went to Scienceworks, which is a science museum here in Melbourne. Well, we got there eventually. We had a few minor issues along the way. Firstly, we got off at Parliament Train Station (as the Metlink journey planner said to), and the platform that the train we needed usually comes to was closed, and there was a notice to go to Southern Cross Station. So, we went back to the platform we came from, and caught another train to Southern Cross. When we got to Southern Cross, the train took aaaages to come (then again, it’s the Weribee line so it’s kinda expected I guess :P). And then there was another complication — The train terminated at Footscray and we had to take a replacement bus the rest of the way. However, once we caught that bus, we finally got there. Entry is free if you’re a student, so that’s definitely a bonus. […]
